Health and Wellness Coaching
Trouble getting to the gym? Difficulty staying on track with healthy eating? Don't even know where to start? If you are having difficulty meeting your health and wellness goals a coach can be very useful. As a coach I can pinpoint where you are having trouble and craft a plan that helps you reach your goals. Coaching is different from therapy as you do not need to have a mental health diagnosis and it is not "treatment". Like therapy, coaching focuses on improving healthy behaviors and figuring out what works best for you.
Coaching sessions are $160 a session and are not covered by insurance.
Yoga/Meditation/Mindfulness practice
Research continues to indicate that the ancient practice of yoga which encompasses meditation and mindfulness is beyond beneficial for many issues and challenges. What was once used as a healthy lifestyle practice is now being used in conjunction with traditional medicine. Likewise, yoga and psychology are wonderful complements to one another, overlapping in areas such as mindfulness, meditation, self-care, and relaxation techniques.
While you do not have to become a yogi, you may want to explore what yoga has to offer you either in conjunction with treatment or as a totally separate experience. My 200 hour teacher training program allows me to officially teach yoga. Additionally, I have over 20 years of experience as a yoga practitioner and countless workshops, weekend retreats, and add-on trainings. This means that I can teach you a little or a lot about yoga. I can also help you find the right class or teacher to help develop some of the skills and techniques that may facilitate better mental health.
